- Rehab plans for 300 boats in culion will cost around Php 4.5M. A fundraising drive is now being planned for this purpose.
- So far, donations raised have now reached Php 101,169.63.
- The Kawil boat (the biggest boat in the island) is now fixed. Please see photos in the gallery below for reference.
- It will be deployed to provide transport assistance to the parish which is still doing relief operations and begin preparing for our boat repair project. We already talked to the head of the parish's Social Action Committee to help us identify beneficiaries.
- Simbahang Lingkod ng Bayan is now finalizing details of the Culion Rehabilitation Plans (and will launch the Task Force for this most likely by next week). There are several priority areas: housing/relocation, livelihood, education/scholarship, and boat repairs. SLB tapped specific implementing organizations per priority area and Kawil was assigned for the boat repair.
- Someone from Manila has offered his yacht and another person is also sponsoring the gas. A separate fundraising effort is also being done to fund the gas as it would total more than a million pesos. They, along with Ateneo are now coming together to help Simbahang Lingkod ng Bayan. The yacht will start delivering relief goods today.
- Repair of Kawil boat will also start today. The Tagbanua boats will follow as soon as we get the list from the Culion parish.
- We'll be sending acknowledgment receipt latest by Wednesday because almost all Kawil founders are in Culion right now (and another one is leaving tomorrow) to do on-ground relief efforts. They will be back on Tuesday afternoon to update us of the boat damages assessment, community status and all necessary information - and yes, with photos!
- Eighty packs of relief goods have been brought to Culion, thanks to Father Errol who managed to hitch a plane ride that landed on Busuanga.
